Smart & Safe Florida Announces Ad on Hypocrisy of Alcohol vs. Marijuana
Campaign to legalize adult use recreational marijuana debuts “Different”
(Orlando, FL) – Today, Smart & Safe Florida released a new ad showcasing the hypocrisy of how our government treats marijuana and alcohol. In “Different,” a Florida voter questions why you can walk into any store to buy a beer but be locked up for purchasing marijuana, which the government labels a safer substance.
According to a recent FDA study, alcohol was found to have a higher use disorder rate than marijuana. Additionally, the FDA found that alcohol has among the highest adverse consequences, while marijuana ranks lower.
“Different” will air statewide on broadcast, streaming, cable and through digital platforms.
“Different” can be viewed HERE.
A yes vote on Amendment 3 will improve the health and safety of Floridians and alleviate the burden on both the law enforcement and criminal justice communities. Access to regulated adult use marijuana will help prevent illicit cartel-trafficked marijuana from making its way into Florida. Without regulation, these products can be laced with dangerous materials including meth, fentanyl, ketamine and other illegal substances.
