Chair of Florida Senate’s Regulated Industries Committee endorses Amendment 3 on the November ballot
(Sarasota, FL) – Today, State Sen. Joe Gruters (R-District 22), the former chair of the Republican Party of Florida, announced his endorsement of a YES vote on Amendment 3. Sen. Gruters, Chair of the Florida Senate’s Regulated Industries Committee, is endorsing Amendment 3, which will legalize adult use marijuana, because he believes it is the best path forward to guarantee our individual freedom and ensure the health and safety of all Floridians.
Sen. Gruters, a leader in Tallahassee who has worked tirelessly to limit government overreach in protecting our Second Amendment rights, school choice and no state income tax, is committed to ensuring Floridians have the same individual freedoms more than half of Americans already enjoy in accessing safe, recreational adult use marijuana.
“Supporting Amendment 3 is a common-sense decision that prioritizes individual freedom, health, safety and economic growth,” said Sen. Gruters. “By legalizing recreational marijuana for adults, we can give Floridians access to safe products, generate significant revenue for critical public services and create new job opportunities for Floridians. I urge you to join me in voting ‘Yes’ on Amendment 3 this November. Together, we can build a safer, smarter future for the Free State of Florida.”
“We are honored to have Sen. Gruters’ support, yet another example of the expansive coalition behind legalizing recreational adult use marijuana,” said Morgan Hill, spokesperson for Smart & Safe Florida. “Individual liberty is not a partisan issue, and we’re glad to have Sen. Gruters on board to help spread our message of personal freedom and a safer Florida for all.”
