BREAKING: Teamsters Local Union No. 769 Endorses Amendment 3
Support continues to surge in campaign to legalize adult use recreational marijuana
(Miami, FL) – Today, Teamsters Local Union No. 769 announced their endorsement of a YES vote on Amendment 3 on the November ballot, showing their support behind the positive impact legalizing adult use recreational marijuana will have for working families in Florida.
Local Union No. 769 represents over 16,000 active and retired Teamsters across South Florida, from Orlando to Key West. The Teamsters are endorsing Amendment 3 because they know its passage will have numerous benefits for working Floridians, such as creating thousands of new job opportunities, protecting individual freedoms and preventing unnecessary arrests for simple marijuana possession.
“We have encouraged all of our members, allies, and supporters to vote in favor of Amendment 3 in this upcoming election,” said Josh Zivalich, President of Teamsters Local Union No. 769. “Amendment 3 will not only decriminalize the use of marijuana, but also establish a regulated and taxed market, which will generate new revenue for our state. These funds can be invested in vital community services, infrastructure, and education, benefiting working families and enhancing economic opportunities across the board.”
