Smart & Safe Florida Issues Statements on Florida Supreme Court’s Approval of Amendment 3 for the 2024 General Election Ballot
(Tallahassee, FL) – Today, the Smart & Safe Florida campaign released the following statements following the Florida Supreme Court’s opinion allowing Amendment 3 to go to the general election ballot in November:
“We are pleased that the Court agreed that the ballot language was clear and correctly ruled in favor of allowing voters the chance to vote on this important initiative. We look forward to bringing our message of allowing adults to safely use cannabis for their own personal consumption to the voters of this state.” – Smart & Safe Florida

Amendment 3 Ballot Summary: Allows adults 21 years or older to possess, purchase, or use marijuana products and marijuana accessories for non-medical personal consumption by smoking, ingestion, or otherwise; allows Medical Marijuana Treatment Centers, and other state licensed entities, to acquire, cultivate, process, manufacture, sell, and distribute such products and accessories. Applies to Florida law; does not change, or immunize violations of, federal law. Establishes possession limits for personal use. Allows consistent legislation. Defines terms. Provides effective date.
